Rightful Claim

It's shameful that one year on, Canada's federal government has not already resolved this land claim.
The non-native citizens of Caledonia who are also seeking a resolution to this ongoing saga should support their Six Nations neighbours and put their efforts toward demanding a resolution between the federal government and the rightful caretakers of this land.
To do otherwise is to obfuscate the cause of Justice; and surely we would all like to believe that Justice does still exist in some form, even if it's more seldom seen with each passing day.

the name caledonia seems familiar... hmmmm

I forgot to note that it's one year on since the reclamation of Kahnonstaton from it's development into another generic suburban neighbourhood.

And yes, so many places here bear European names...Caledonia is not far from Hanover or Paris; although the resemblance definitely ends with the name.

Thanks JOS, all's well, just busy; hence my sparse short posts here at my own place. I'll be by at Mickey's soon.

thanks for posting this.....it seems native issues is just too much for some to grasp. of course, msm doesn't do much help with their stories full of 'conqueror' mentality. what does it take to wake some up?

What I cannot comprehend is the self pitying attitude that is apparent in some non-native Caledonians; I hope that it stems from a lack of understanding of the history of the area. I suppose they open their mouths before opening their eyes and minds. Knowledge is indeed power and a knowledge of history could empower a joint native / non-native effort to force the Fed. Govt. to resolve this quickly.
